i talked with the media guy at CitC yesterday, and we are on for all the music.
i told him i'd give him a final order pretty soon. here is what i was thinking based on our discussion at the last meeting:
Opening Songs
- You are Good
- Forever Song
Welcome
Meeting those around you
Explanation of Concert
Prayer for Nation
Song - We Fall Down
Prayer for State
Song - One Body, One Spirit
Prayer for City (pastors praying at different sections)
Closing Song and video - God of this City
i figured everyone would know "you are good" so it'd be a good opening song. i'd like to introduce "forever song" which is a song of worship that talks about all the things God has done for us and that the greatest song we'll ever sing is the one that blesses the Lord.
we had talked about the prayer for the nation having to do with repentence. humilty goes right along with that so that's why i thought "we fall down" would be good.
also, as we move into praying for our city, one of our prayers is that we would be unified. "one body, one spirit" is the singing of scripture from ephesians that we have one body, one spirit, one faith, one baptism, one father who is above all through all and in all. that's why i chose that one.
let me know what you think.

Productive Meeting
Kason, Jonathon, and Bishop,
Thanks for such a productive meeting. It was great to work with you guys on this project. I truly believe that this is something that can change our city. (Jonathon, good call on the Chris Tomlin tune, we are going to try and do it at our church so our people will be familiar with it) Jonathon, can you let me know if you have a chance to visit with Levi and see if he is willing to communicate the "positions of prayer" from the biblical perspective. Also, I need to get any verses from you guys that you think might need to be on the powerpoint. I am going to try and get that together so that we can look at it on the Tuesday meeting. Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing how God is going to use this prayer in our city.
